St Cloud City Guide
St. Cloud, a thriving Mississippi River city blessed year-round with a wide range of cultural, social and recreational activities. Historic theaters, reowned international gardens and regional shopping are just a sample of what awaits you.

Learn the history of granite at Stearns History Museum, Minnesota's only accredited history museum outside the metro area. Or view a 1919 Pan automobile and a miniature circus. Play in the Children's Gallery and groove in 1960's exhibit "Pop Goes the Prairie."
Enjoy biking, hiking, walking on the many trails around St. Cloud that include: Beaver Island Trail, the Lake Wobegan Regional Trail or Quarry Park. Quarry Park was developed at the site of 21 abandoned granite quarries. The facility includes a swimming area, hiking and nature trails, mountain bike routes, four miles of groomed, lighted cross country ski trails, scuba diving (through local dive shops) and rainbow trout and bass fishing. The park gives you a glimpse into the industry that gave St. Cloud the old nickname of Nitty Gritty Granite City.
Or, Take yourself out to a ball game as you watch the St. Cloud River Bats, a Northwoods League, featuring Division 1 college baseball players from around the country. www.RiverBats.com Play a round of Frisbee golf at Riverside Park, site of the 1999 National Frisbee Golf Championships. Be a spectator at any of St. Cloud State University's athletic games.
