Stone MountainLocated on Chicago's far southeast side, the William W. Powers State Recreation Area offers a wide range of outdoor activities. The park's main feature is Wolf Lake. Wolf Lake contains largemouth bass, northern pike, bluegill, redear sunfish, crappie, bullhead, carp, walleye, hybrid muskie, and yellow perch. The lake is suitable for ice fishing in the winter and waterfowl hunting in the fall. Other activities include boating and picnicking.
William W. Powers State Recreation Area is located off highways 94, 90, and 41. The main park entrance is at 123rd Street and Avenue O.
