New York Parks Travel Planner
Believe it or not there is an entire state outside the New York City limits. New York State houses a great many of our national historic treasures. The homes of three presidents can be found here: FDR, Theodore Roosevelt and Martin Vam Buren. There are also Revolutionary War sites waiting to be explored along with the birthplace of the Women's Rights Movement in Seneca Falls. Many of these sites are along the Hudson River which offers some of the most beautiful scenery on the East Coast.
Take some time, get out of the city and explore.
You'll be glad you did.
