Centrally located, and just 90 minutes from most of Michigan's major attractions, Lansing is an ideal "hub" city for a Michigan vacation. However, once you arrive in Lansing, there's plenty to keep you busy within the city limits. Michigan's Capital City, Lansing contains an extraordinary variety of options for visitors, such as museums and excellent cultural attractions. Lansing also includes some fantastic gardens, art galleries and theatres. The birthplace of Oldsmobile, Lansing still produces more cars than any other city on the continent. Visitors can take a tour of a working automotive plant or visit one of Lansing's automotive heritage centers for a glimpse of automotive history.
