Located just minutes off of Indiana's I-69 cultural corridor, Huntington attractions are loaded with past and present-day history. Nearly 40,000 Hoosiers live in the county, and residents are proud to say that the United States 44th Vice President, Dan Quayle, calls Huntington home.
The United States Vice Presidential Museum & Quayle Center is a must-see attraction for any Huntington visitor. Tens of thousands of visitors from all over the world have visited the Dan Quayle Center & Museum. The only vice-presidential museum in the country, it houses a permanent exhibit on the vice-presidency and rotating exhibits of social, political and historical interest.

Pulse Opera House

Built in 1884 by a Civil War veteran, the Pulse Opera House served as a town meeting center, dance hall, and theatre. The opera house seated 500 patrons in its second floor and its owner operated a general store on the first. The opera house was restored in the 1980s and continues to provide quality entertainment with productions reflecting turn-of-the-century melodramas and comedies. Reservations are required for groups. The opera house operates May through September.
Wings of Freedom Museum

The Wings of Freedom Museum is home to military aircraft and memorabilia from WW II to the present day. The central focus of the museum is a P-51D Mustang, Scat VII, which was flown in combat by General Robin Olds, who had 24 kills flying in WW II. An AT-6 Trainer and an F-104D Starfighter are also on display.In a cooperative effort with Moments in Military History, Wings of Freedom also possesses extensive rotating displays of military memorabilia. Flight suits, maps, weapons, engines, and vehicles are also exhibited. Open May through October, Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 1 to 5 p.m. Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for children. Children under the age of 5 get in free.
Forks of the Wabash Historic Park

Another key attraction is the Forks of the Wabash Historic Park, which tells the story of the area's native Miami Indians and their relationship with the early settlers and the U.S. Government at the turn of the 19th Century. Families and groups welcome. Please call to schedule an appointment.
Merillat Centre for the Arts Huntington College

The Merillat Centre for the Arts offers a wide variety of shows each season from musical performances to ballet and comedians to magicians. The show schedule runs from September through May. Visitors can enjoy the rotating exhibits in the Robert E. Wilson Gallery. The permanent art collection includes prints by Salvador Dali and artworks by many other contemporary artists and sculptors.
