Grapevine, Texas is one of the oldest settlements in North Texas, originating under the Lone Star Flag in 1844, one year before statehood. The settlement's namesake was the tart, wild mustang grapes which grew so abundantly in the area. Today, Grapevine celebrates its history with an extensive restoration project, recognized by the National Register of Historic Places, and an annual GrapeFest, attended by over 160,000 citizens and visitors.

Grapevine, Texas is a charming setting for both business and leisure visitor. Located within the city limits is Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, the world's second busiest airport.
