Grants
Pass City Guide
Rafting isn't the only reason to visit Grants Pass, but it's certainly
a good reason! Located just 60 miles north of the California/Oregon
state line, Grants Pass straddles the Rogue River and is known as the
"whitewater rafting capital." Other water sports include fishing
and boating. Every May, Grants Pass is home to the Boatnik
festival which lasts four days and ends in the world famous Whitewater
Hydroplane Race.
Downtown Grants Pass is also great for shopping and antiquing. Perhaps
the best way to see Grants Pass is to stay at one of its many fine Bed
and Breakfasts. Take that river adventure you've been dreaming about.
Or sleep in, maybe do a little fishing and enjoy some great food and fresh
picked fruits and vegetables at the Growers' Market. Oregon
Caves and Crater Lake
are also both within easy reach. Whatever you end up doing, Grants Pass
is worth the trip.
