Fayetteville City Guide

Fayetteville is located directly off I-95, exactly halfway between New York and Florida. The area offers an economical, convenient and diverse destination. Proximity to one of the country's largest military installations impacts the area with a wonderful diversity reflected in every aspect of the community -- from festivals and museums, to dining, shopping and entertainment.

Fayetteville is home to the Airborne & Special Operations Museum, one of the top attractions in the state of North Carolina. The museum is the only place where you can see, hear and experience the comprehensive story of the U.S. Airborne & Special Operations units from Test Platoon to present day. Located on six beautifully-landscaped acres, the building includes life-size exhibits, interactive displays, a large-screen theater and a 24-seat simulator to experience aircraft and parachute jumps. The building serves as a gateway and an anchor to a rejuvenated downtown that offers arts galleries, a children's museum, restaurants and a variety of antique and specialty stores.

Fayetteville boasts a range of attractions, outdoor recreational opportunities and a wealth of annual special events.
